A 'Broadcasts in English' B16 issue

A 'Broadcasts in English' is a magazine, twice in a year, issued by BDXC.

The B16 version has been available since last week.

It's one of my favorite and useful references.

(The explanation of it)

http://bdxc.org.uk/bie.html

It is compiled by BDXC's Dave Kenny, Tony Rogers and Alan Roe, includes details of all known international broadcasts in English on shortwave and mediumwave for the current schedule period, as well selected domestic English-language broadcasts on short wave.

The 32-page booklet is in a handy time order throughout and covers all target areas worldwide.

Transmitter sites are included where possible along with schedules for Media & Mailbag Programmes and Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) services in English.

This edition also includes an hour-by-hour guide to external services in English which are available online as well as a very comprehensive guide to music programming available on shortwave.

It includes not only SW but streaming, on demand and podcast services.

That's why quite helpful for me!

It’s price (includes postage) is UK £3; Europe £4, €5, $US6 or 5 IRCs ;

Rest of World airmail £5, $US7 or 6 IRCs.

A pdf version also available on request at the UK price.

The memorable issue of BDXC’s magazine is free to non-members

I'm the only Japanese BDXC member, who contribute to monthly club's magazine 'Communication' many times.

It's my great pleasure to be able to appear lots of times so that I should indicate deeply appreciate editors' efforts.

On July 2016, achieved the 500th issue by acclaim!

I assure that the 500th is a momentous milestone in a journey of long-distance (DX) radio listening and radio history that stretches back to the very first issue of Communication way back in 1974.

Fortunately, you can obtain the historical bulletin from the BDXC's official web site without any troublesome process! (as a sample of recent issue)

To mark this special 500th issue, Alan Pennington looks back at Communication and the hobby as it was in 1976.

The're several other articles in this packed edition, including Part 2 of Tracing Radio Berlin International, a feature on Japan's English-language domestic broadcasters which provided by me (page #24) and details of constructing a EWE antenna.

I'm grateful for what I've done on such a significant occasion!
